I enjoy your blog! I came across it looking around at Malinois related things on the internet since recently I've got a suspicion my puppy I adopted at the pound may be a mix. I'm really jealous you were able to get Kiah into agility, I wanted to do agility things with Elli, but apparently there aren't really that many dog related things in the area I live around/: I'm definitely going to follow your blog though!
Hi I am Grace, I love dogs, and me and my husband Alex live together. My Belgian Malinois called Kiah rules the roost, she is a complete Princess but deserves to be spoiled like one!! Also sharing our household is Davy the collie cross (possibly retriever), Risk, also a collie cross (with a kelpie). We now also have Evan, our working goldie, lots of fun. Sadly we lost our old boy, Yahoo the golden retriever in Sept '12. A lot of our spare time is spent at agility shows, long walks with friends, landrover things, or taking photos which is another hobby we have. To keep Kiah and the boys in the life to which they have become accustomed, I work as a surveyor for my sins, and Alex is in a recruitment role during the week. Fortunately both of us don't have to work weekends so we get to spend quality time with each other and our furry family!!
Kiah is my beautiful 8 year old Malinois, who loves her agility and is in Grade 6 where I think we will stay, but we manage a few good places, but we will never be consistent. She adores her agility and is still completely insane with every run, competition or training. I love her attitude as she chills out at home, and can be very cuddly and soppy too. Very stubborn, and spoiled at times but I love her so much its part of who she is!!
Yahoo 09.03.99-10.09.12
Yahoo was our old-boy Golden Retriever, who we sadly lost in September 2012. He was 13.5 and the nicest dog you could ever meet. He had a huge heart, and a fantastic temperament, and we miss him a lot, more than we all first realised. Rest In Peace 'old man' and 'orange dog' we love you and will never forget you!
Davy
Davy is our ManyTears rescue collie cross retriever (we think) boy who joined us at Easter '10. He has great markings with a blue eye on his white side, and brown eye on his brown side, and is very friendly to everyone. He is now just over 5 we think, and is still coming along in leaps and bounds with his confidence and agility training. He and Alex have entered a few agility shows, but they suit each other, if they were any more chilled they would fall over!!
Risk
Risk is our third pooch in the pack, also from ManyTears and is a rescue collie kelpie cross. He is now just over 2 and has started to compete, which he is enjoying though he is a sensitive soul, thinks about things a lot. It channels his energy as he is constantly on the go but is learning to 'settle' too. He loves everyone and everything apart from being groomed (!), love him my cheeky little dude!!
Evan
Evan puppy is the newest member of our family and is now nearly 8 months old. He is from working stock so wants to 'do' all the time, good or bad! We are hoping to do some gundog work with him as he is a natural, and hopefully some agility when he is older.
